Why Get an
Inspection?
An inspection is not a service to find every problem with the property, it’s simply a service performed to evaluate the current state of the property. Inspectors will find issues are found, which we call “defects;” but the systems that have no defects are also reported on and included in the report. Here are some other reasons to get a home inspection:
Sale/Re-sale/Pre-sale
Buying a new home? Have a certified professional inspector do a Standard Home Inspection. Selling a home and want to have the option of offering a completed inspection with the sale? Have a certified professional inspector perform a pre-sale standard home inspection.
New Construction
The Construction Industry is booming. Not everyone knows what to look for during the building process. Have a certified professional inspector perform a pre-drywall inspection to view everything within and behind the walls. After completion of the build, have a certified professional inspector perform a final inspection before closing on the home.
Warranty/Maintenance
Nearing the end of a warranty on a newly constructed home? Would you like an update on your home after living in it for a few years? Have a certified professional inspector perform an 11 Month Warranty or standard home inspection to get a pulse on how the home has changed over time.
Pre-Listing Inspection
Are you selling your house? Get a home inspection prior to listing to take care of any issues that may arise during the sale process. Typically, the buyer gets a home inspection, and everyone is left waiting to see what is on the report. A pre-listing inspection and report makes all parties aware of the state of the home so there are no surprises. It also gives a chance for the seller to get ahead of any major defects that may have been previously unknown.
Waved Inspection During Real Estate Transaction
In order to complete a purchase, some homebuyers waived the home inspection over the last few years. There is nothing stopping a buyer from getting a home inspection now. It can be used to create a maintenance plan, prioritize projects around the home or find any defects that may not be apparent until further down the road. A home inspection can occur at any time while living in a home.
Maintenance Inspections
Not sure where to start with taking care of a home? The joys of homeownership keep on giving. There is always something to do. A home inspection can help align clarify priority projects and annual maintenance techniques to keep the home safe and healthy.
